Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus Christ!

This week, your Church Council considered how North Salem UMC should respond to the upsurge in reported COVID-19 cases and deaths here in New Hampshire due to the pandemic.  After a long and thoughtful conversation, Council members decided it was in the best interest of the NSUMC church family to suspend in-house worship until at least January 17, 2021.
We will gather together one more time in the sanctuary this Sunday, November 22, to offer thanksgiving for the blessings God has bestowed upon us this year.  Starting November 29 (the first Sunday in Advent), we will offer our Sunday worship service on a Live-Stream basis each week at 9 am.  The Live-Stream may be accessed on the Homepage of the NSUMC website at  You may also access the Live-Stream service through a link found weekly in our "Call to Worship".
For Christmas Eve this year, we will offer two ways to worship.  At 4 pm, join us at North Salem UMC for an outdoor Christmas Eve celebration around the Christmas tree (weather permitting).  During this 40 minute service will we sing the wonderful carols of Christmas (with masks and safe distancing between family groups), hear the beautiful story of the Birth of Jesus, and hang ornaments on our Christmas tree.  Please look for more information about this service available in early December.  We will also offer a recorded Christmas Eve Service on the church website for those who are unable to join us outside or who will be out-of-town for the holidays.
I do not need to remind you that North Salem UMC has a proud history of caring for each other.  If you have not already done so, please “adopt a friend” during this Advent season.  Support and care for one another, especially our isolated members in nursing homes or hospitals, by reaching out through phone, e-mail, text, or regular mail.  Please let me know of people needing special help or prayers during the weeks to come.
Finally, won't you join me in praying  for all those who are affected by the COVID-19 virus.....those who are ill, the medical professionals treating them, the scientists working on vaccines and cures, and the leaders making tough decisions to try and curb the spread of the virus and keep us safe.
Blessings to all!  Please stay safe and well.
